October Reviews
Things far scarier stalk the earth…. The Four Horsemen, in the form of Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, creeping famine in south Sudan, ebola, and other matters too frightening to mention at an entertainment site. Still, we must have our practice horrors, our kiddies in costumes and movies with frights, our zombie walks and cornmaze shocks…
And so the Bureau presents its annual reviews of video horrors. The schedule appears below. Today we have no review, but merely a place to pour some autumn cider or blood (as your tastes dictate) and discuss films currently in the theatres. Would anyone like to offer their thoughts on:
Annabelle: The latest take on the Creepy Plaything subgenre.
The Box Trolls: A faerie tale for families, with Gothic sensibilities.
Gone Girl David Fincher’s take on the pop thriller novel.
Big Screen Batman 9: Catwoman (2004) podcast
Big Screen Batman continues with our look at Catwoman.
