Paul Rudd as Ant-Man
Variety reports that Paul Rudd will star in Marvel’s forthcoming Ant-man movie. The news appears to be confirmed at the Wrap. Is this a good choice? A good idea? And when will Squirrel Girl scamper onto the big screen?
Disney acquires “Indiana Jones”
Variety has the details. Indiana Jones is now owned by Disney. Paramount still distributes the first four films, and they can share in financial obligations and rewards in future films, but new projects are under Disney’s control.
“Amazing Spider-Man 2” trailer now live
I’ve gotta admit, I’m impressed. It looks like they can handle multiple villains with this story.

Gal Gadot to play Wonder Woman
They couldn’t get a Wonder Woman film to fly, but Gal Gadot will play the Amazing Amazon in the Batman/Superman movie which, I suppose, should henceforth be a Superman/Batman/Wonder Woman movie.

Movie Review: Thor: The Dark World
The latest Marvel movie opened this weekend. The title refers to a Dark World, but no one should be surprised it serves us (for the most part) light popcorn.
Ender’s Game Discussion
The novel received SF’s highest accolades, and the movie stars some of Hollywood’s best. The author, alas, has surrounded himself with controversy, and some people plan to boycott Ender’s Game, which opened this week to respectable business and mixed reviews.
This would be the place to discuss the film and related matters.

A few years ago I took a look at the final part of what John Carpenter calls his “Apocalypse Trilogy” with In the Mouth of Madness.
