Superman’s origins have been explored and revised many times throughout his 70+ year history. We’ve had Golden and Silver Age origins, numerous media adaptations, and John Byrne’s post-Crisis series, Man of Steel. This six-issue series written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Gary Franks gives us a Man of Tomorrow for the twenty-first century.
If nothing else, it provides DC readers with some superhero stories removed from Blackest Night and New Krypton.
I’ve really tried to catch up on reviews, but I won’t have time to do that for at least a month due to my work schedule. I’ll try to keep up with discussion columns until I can get back to the reviews.
Unfortunately, I won’t have time to review this episode this weekend. However, next weekend is a long weekend, so I should be able to do a double review and get caught up. In the meantime, here’s discussion space.
Season nine launched last night. How did they fare?
Thus ends season eight.
The previous two episodes weren’t all that great. Is this week’s entry better or worse?
Two weeks in a row. Let’s hope the trend turns around shortly.
This is what I would consider to be the first truly weak episode of the season. Getting 19 episodes in before hitting that mark may be a Smallville record.
The last new episode until April 23 aired this week. When it returns, the series will run straight through to the season finale.
