I’ve seen shows like Buffy which essentially require the viewer to see virtually all previous episodes for anything in the new episodes to make sense. This is the first series I’ve seen that also requires the viewer to watch all subsequent episodes for everything to make sense, and I think I like it that way.

According to this Usenet post archived on JMSnews.com, the second and third seasons of Babylon 5 have been tentatively scheduled for next April and November respectively. Remember, the first season is due November 5.

DVD have now announced that the first season of
Bablyon 5, collectively titled “Signs and
Portents,” will be released on DVD on November 5 of
this year. They’ve got the box art too, if you want
to take a gander.

Anonymous Coward writes, A new interview has been put up at B5LR.com with Mackenzie Gray. Mackenzie plays the mysterious Minister Kafta, the lead alien villain in the upcoming Babylon 5 telemovie “The Legend of the Rangers”, which airs on the US SCI FI Channel on January 19 2002. The race he’s from may just make the Shadows look like playground bullies! In the interview, Mackenzie talks about his role, life on set, and what it’s like working with his fellow cast members and JMS. You can read the interview by clicking here.

In this USENET post, The Great Maker announced that the new Babylon 5 movie/series pilot/premiere/whatever-you-wanna-call-it will air on January 2, 2002.

As had been rumored, the first previews of “Babylon 5: Legend of the Rangers” are online at scifi.com. You’ll have to register with them to watch, though. All previews are in RealPlayer format.

Nothing really big and shocking in here, but it’s still, after all this time, refreshing to see someone as influential as JMS actually take the time to discuss things directly with the fans. Now if only, say, Rick Berman did stuff like that… Anyway, attached to this is the latest status report from the “Legend of the Rangers” set.
