DC Television Week 7 Discussion

This week, Lucifer teases the answer to “Will they/Won’t they” while acting more like a traditional sit-com/cop drama.  Supergirl Wakes Up from the story that was all a dream to give us a second Supergirl.  The Flash reveals their season’s big bad’s backstory.  Legends continues to use well known names as show titles.  Arrow airs on Thanksgiving, so uses it as the theme for the episode.1

DC Television Week 6 Discussion

Supergirl was strong enough to time travel, bring forth a special review, and she even brought Lucifer into the discussion.1  Lucifer’s episode isn’t a typical episode, focusing on a new character for a one-shot type episode, but also decorates it with added Phlox!  The Flash trains Elongated Man and gives us much deeper Wells.  Legends visits Hollywood, but has nothing to do with the actress from the title.  We also get to see Firestorm reversed.  Arrow picks up from last week’s Slade Wilson cliffhanger.

DC Television Week 5 Discussion

CW DCU Discussion: Season Finales for Supergirl, The Flash, and Arrow

Supergirl, “Nevertheless, She Persisted:” Through alien invasion, a temporarily mind-controlled super-cousin, an anti-alien weapons, the departure of her gratuitous super-boyfriend, and a teaser for next year’s big bad.

The Flash, “Finish Line:” Much drama ensues, Iris steps up, and Barry uses a technique against Savitar that he literally could have tried several episodes ago. Then we get a depressing teaser for next season, because CW still thinks we want a dark, mopey Flash.

Arrow, “Lian Yu:” Barry comes full circle, and past characters return.

Discussion below.

The Flash Review: “Infantino Street”

This episode brings us to the point we feared, and it’s great to see the excellent chemistry between Barry and Snart again. If the entire episode had been about the Flash and Captain Cold pulling off a robbery, I would have enjoyed it, thoroughly.

As it stands, I have, alas, very little else positive to say about “Infantino Street.”

I do note a caveat under “Story.”

Other CW DCU Shows will receive a discussion tomorrow.
