Well, I’m reviewing a new release for once. While it’s still in theaters even. The live-action adaptation of Akira Toriyama’s classic anime and manga Dragonball is now in theaters, will this be better than the last adaptation of Dragonball? Will it better than the live-action adaptation of Fist Of The North Star? Or will this be one really big stinkburger.

Weekend Review: Mobile Police Patlabor – The Movie
This weekend’s review is the film spinoff of the Patlabor OVA that was my last weekend review. Mobile Police Patlabor – The Movie. It’s not Oshii’s first film for theaters (that would be the first Urusei Yatsura film), but it does pre-date Ghost In The Shell. So, how does early Oshii work for films, and is his cinematic comedy actually funny?
Weekend Review – Akira
This coming week, Akira finally comes out on Blu-Ray. As Akira (the film) has not been reviewed here at the Bureau, now is the perfect time to correct this oversight, with a review of the film (as well as a few quick notes comparing the special features from the upcoming Blu-Ray release and the Pioneer DVD release from 2001).

The Real Weekend Review – Berserk
Okay, here’s the proper weekend review, with even my intended preface!
This time around I’m going for a review of the hyperviolent fantasy anime “Berserk!” The show has been around for a while, and the series has gotten a bit of a following in anime circles, enough for Dark Horse Comics to license the Manga, which is still running.
