The full details on all four releases of Lord
Of The Rings: Fellowship of the Ring are
available at
DVD File. The two disk sets released on
August 6 sound like the regular two disk sets.
One will be widescreen, and the other will be
butchered. The November 12 editions both include
the director’s cut (which runs just short of four
hours) with two disks of extras. In fact, the
only drawback to the November editions I can see
would be that the movie doesn’t fit on one disk
(since it has three commentary tracks.)

Oscars: Beautiful Mind More Beautiful Than LOTR
Alexius
writes, I Know We All wanted The Fellowship
Of The Ring To Succede, But Apparently Sauron’s
Forces Are Too Strong, Er Something. Here‘s
A Decent List Of Oscar Winners. Alexius
just saved me the trouble of finding that myself.
I’m disappointed with LOTR missing the major
awards, as well as Memento‘s losses in
both the editing and screenplay categories.
Book Review – “Spider-Man” movie novelization
The novel adapted from an early draft of the
Spider-Man movie script is on store
shelves. There are minor spoilers below, but
nothing that would be news to comic book fans or
anyone who has seen the previews for the movie.
Still, if you want to stay spoiler-free, here’s
the short version: it’s good. I will
see this movie on opening night.
2002 Razzie awards given
We reported on the Razzie nominees some
time ago. The worst films and filmmakers of
the year are listed below, or here.
As always, sci-fi and
fantasy entries are marked as such.
Knight Rider: The Movie.
David Hasslehoff and the talking car with the weird blinkenlights are reportedly gonna get their own movie. I haven’t decided if this is a good thing or not, but I’m leaning towards “not”. Anybody remember “Knight Rider 2000”? Yeah, thought so.
Star Trek: Nemesis script leaked?
This
site claims to have the script for Star
Trek: Nemesis. If you don’t want to be
spoiled, you do not want to click on that link.
(I haven’t read it yet, and I can’t guarantee its
authenticity, but I’m sure anyone faking a script
at this stage would be sure to make it consistent
with every spoiler they can find.)
Final Spiderman Trailer March 27

Geeks IRL trailer
Alexius writes, Black Cat has finished the trailer for ‘Geeks IRL’, A Mocumentary Of Geeks in Pittsburgh. It’s A Large Download, But Pretty Entertaining.
(Yes, I’m Biased, You’ll See How Biased When You Watch It.) The trailers are too large for me to download and watch at work. (They are 39 and 104 megabytes) but I’ll definitely take a look when I get home. In the meantime, what do you people think?
