Amidst the consolidation of UPN and WB, Aquaman has been cut from the fall lineup.
Frankie Thomas, “Space Cadet,” dead at 85
Frankie Thomas, who became famous in the 1950s for his starring role in the TV children’s show “Tom Corbett, Space Cadet,” has died. He was 85.
At his request, Thomas was buried Tuesday in his “Tom Corbett, Space Cadet” costume. You have to appreciate some people’s sense of humor.
The Da Vinci Code opens to lukewarm response
The adaptation of Dan Brown’s overhyped Da Vinci Code opened yesterday to mostly poor-to-middling reviews. The Bureau’s take is forthcoming.

“Invasion” joins “Surface” and “Threshold”
As in cancelled. While it started off slow (which isn’t smart for a new series), the latter half of the season picked up serious steam and was leading up to one honey of a finale. I assume they’ll still air the final episode tomorrow night.
Mission Stays Afloat; Poseidon Sinks
M:I III manages to stay on top, despite losing 1/2 its audience from last week. Even sadder is Poseidon’s $20 million in its opening week. Apparently the suits in Hollywood thought that dropping “Adventure” from the title would make us all forget that we’ve seen this movie already! Silly suits.

Strangers in Paradise: Immortal Enemies
“Oh, God. No.”
“You’d be surprised how many people say that in the end. I always tell them the same thing… God’s not with us.”
A crime-caesar and a crime-brutus
The Strangers in Paradise chapter or story arc that began with Love Me Tender finishes with Immortal Enemies. The fifth trade paperback, it takes Moore’s comic series/graphic novel into conspiracy-theory territory, not for the last time.
