The first episode of the second series sees us leave Earth for the first time, but will the events live up to our expectations?

Smallville Review – “Fragile”
I caught the broadcast on YTV, and got the review
done. Better late than never, I suppose.

Movie Review Schedule now available
The schedule for the Saturday movie reviews is now
available here.
Regular movie reviews continue until the last Saturday
in July. In August, there’s a “family entertainment”
theme going, heavy on animation, and then a break
until the Halloween reviews start in October. It’s
the list I use as a checklist when I’m deciding what
to watch, so those with checkmarks (rather than boxes)
have either full reviews or review notes written. I’ll
try to keep this schedule, but July and August are our
busiest months at work, so it’ll require me to work
ahead for a while.
Saturday Movie Review – “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”
The Saturday Movie Reviews continue. Now that the
April Fool’s Day gag is over, and that I have home
Internet access, I’ll post a schedule of the
forthcoming reviews for all to see.

Weekly DVD Picks – April 18, 2006
It’s a somewhat sparse week. It is, however, the
first week that the HD-DVD releases are really
starting to roll out. I didn’t list any this week,
but it wouldn’t be hard to start. (Serenity
is one of those first titles, too. That’s a pretty
strong show of faith, I’d say.) So, do you want the
HD-DVD and Blu-Ray titles listed too?

Supernatural Discussion
Now that my Internet connection has finally been
fixed, I can post again. Unfortunately, the cable
internet problems took out my cable TV, too, so I
won’t be able to watch and review this week’s
Smallville until Sunday night at the
earliest.
The Collected Strangers in Paradise
In a little over a year, Terry Moore’s Strangers in Paradise ends its run. Despite the underwhelming interest Bureau-crats have shown for my proposed reviews of the entire series (Uncle Jam was interested. Thanks.), I’ve decided to go ahead. I’m starting this week with The Collected Strangers in Paradise, which features the three issues of the original series, and a few surprises.
Lost Discussion: “S.O.S.”
Rose is surprisingly and vehemently opposed to Bernard’s plan to create an S.O.S. signal; romantic sparks are rekindled between Jack and Kate when they trek into the jungle to propose a “trade” with “The Others”; and Locke begins to question his faith in the island.
Weekly Comics Discussion – April 12, 2006
