And thanks to Dr. Caleb, whose suggestion that we post this link I read nanoseconds after I posted it myself.

I agree that he should fight for the use of the name, but if he did use the guys likeness as well… then I think he should just fork over the 14 million. I can’t imagine that he would personally have 3 million to pay for a stupid baseball but his company would have to file for chapter 11 over a 14 million settlement.

err…I did some research…there’s no way he used the guy’s “likeness”…ordinarily I’m all for a Todd McFarlane smackdown, but I want to know a lot more about this case. something seems fishy.

Great minds think alike ‘shredder :)

I worked for the company that used to be part of the Oilers, so I’ve met Mr McFarlane a couple times. I was quite disturbed that Mr. Twist actually won this suit.

as a St. Louisan, I can tell you there was no way TT wasn’t going to win. While we have an absolutely dismal hockey team, and have had forever, this town loves it’s sports teams in some bizarro cult following way.

I’m sure if appealed, it will be overturned. If I had to stake my life on 12 fellow St. Louisans, I think I’d have to file for a change of venue.

15 million. Can you say excessive. and honestly, other then cultist hockey fans TT was never really that big of a name to begin with
