Trivia. Trivia is what brings us together today. Princess Bride Trivia, to be exact. We’ve got thirty questions from that fantasy classic. You know it, you love it. Let’s do this.
We could use your help with ratings. Podchaser and Apple Podcasts (formerly iTunes) have places where you can leave reviews for the shows you like. Please take a second and leave a review. It’s a huge help in boosting us. (Along with sharing the show with your trivia-loving friends).
I love this movie, I expect to do well. I am sure that expectation will be severely humbled, but…
Dorky – 7 right, 7 points – And out of the game it’s a behind the scenes question. That was humbling faster than I expected.
Geeky – 5 right, 10 points – Behind the scenes question to start here too, but I can guess well!
Nerdy – 3 right, 6 points – Asking to finish a quote is purely a gimmie.
I think I am going to have to throw this on again, I don’t think my kids can quote it as well as I can. (Which you suggested after I typed this.)
Dorky: Nine (9)
Geeky: Six (12)
Nerdy: Four (twelve) Inconceivable!
9, 9 (18), 7 (21), for a total of 48. For the “which person says this happens 2-3 times per day” question, my first instinct was “well, it happens to all of them, but who actually said it?”
I expect Wallace Shawn’s grave marker to say “Inconceivable”. I bet there are significant number of people who wouldn’t recognize his name but when you say “Inconceivable!” they’d know exactly who you are talking about.
You keep using that word….
I do not think it means what you think it means.
I met Wallace Shawn at a convention, and brought an assortment of his work and gave him the option to choose what to sign. He picked his favourite of the bunch. Not Princess Bride, not Deep Space Nine, not any of the Pixar films, but Clueless.
Huh, who’d have guessed?
Not I. And, for the record, Cary Elwes signed a season of Psych.
