Lost Discussion: “The Long Con”

Some of the island survivors fear that “The Others” may have returned when Sun is greatly injured during a failed kidnapping attempt at her plant garden. Also, the trust barrier becomes very thin between Locke and Jack in terms of locking up the guns and them being kept safe. Meanwhile, Sawyer is an amused but highly interested bystander when tension escalates between Jack, Locke, Kate and Ana Lucia. When Jack purprosely takes Sawy’er’s medication from him he pushes more in favor of helping Locke. Lastly, flashbacks reveal more of Sawyer’s con artist past.

  1. Sawyer’s accomplice…
I just didn’t see that coming. Wow. I didn’t think Charlie was really capable of something like that. Just… wow.

  2. A much better episode .. spoilers
As this is a discussion of the episode I’m not going to spoiler things that happened on the episode.

I liked this episode better then last weeks, partly because I was still pissed at Locke from last week.

I thought I figured it out at first, the Anna Lucia fake out. I knew Sawyer couldn’t have attacked Sun, because he was with Kate.

Then I thought it was all to get just get his medicine back.

The final ending surprised me. They strung us along pretty good.

Yeah, it was well done and very interesting. The episode turned when Sawyer explained the principle of the long con, but I didn’t really see the angle with Charlie coming. Damn good episode.
