Weekly Comics Discussion – May 24, 2006

The complete list, as always, is available from the usual
place
.

DC Comics

  • 52 WEEK #3 – I’m going to stop writing about this
    now, because I
doubt I can come up with 52 different things to say
    about a title I’m
    not reading.
  • CRISIS AFTERMATH THE BATTLE FOR BLUDHAVEN #4 (OF
    6)
  • GREEN LANTERN #11 – Issue #10 had a heck of a last
    panel.
  • SECRET SIX #1 (OF 6) – This one’s all about the
    bad guys.

Marvel Comics

  • ANNIHILATION RONAN #2 (OF 4)
  • DAREDEVIL #85 – I love what Brubaker’s doing
    here.
  • EXILES #81
  • FANTASTIC FOUR A DEATH IN THE FAMILY – In place of
    the regular
    title this month.
  • NEW AVENGERS #19 – Continuing the storyline
    unrelated to Civil War.
  • SENSATIONAL SPIDER-MAN #26 – If memory serves,
    this completes the
    “Primal” storyline.
  • SHE-HULK 2 #8 – A Civil War crossover, and my
    first issue of the
title. Expect a review before the weekend’s out.
  • SPIDER-MAN BLACK CAT EVIL THAT MEN DO MARVEL
    PREMIERE HC – I
haven’t gotten around to reviewing this series. It
    started off
    strong, but ended rather depressingly.
  • SQUADRON SUPREME #3 – This should be good.
  • WOLVERINE #42 – A Civil War crossover, and my
    first issue of the
title. If I have time, I’ll review it on its own, but
    I won’t promise
anything other than a complete story arc review.
    (Work is about to
    hit the busy season.)
