Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 29 September 2019

Pennyworth and Preacher have their tenth episodes, which appear to be capping their seasons, but the fall season isn’t over before it’s begun, as The Blacklist returns to bring us more of Ultron Spader chewing up the set.  Robot Chicken gets a tenth season, fleshing out our schedule next to Titans and The Good Doctor.  What a feeling, American Horror Story gives us another maniac.

Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 22 September 2019

Even with the official start to fall this week with the equinox, the late-late-late-not-quite-fall-season television offerings are still sparse.  We go get the return of The Good Doctor where Murphy goes on a date.  Alfred plots assassination, and on Preacher there is a theater event to end all theater events1.  Meanwhile2, at camp in in 1984, American Horror Story brights out an evil monster.  While we don’t get a proper description of what happens on Titans, the name “Aqualad” probably tells us all we need to know.

Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 15 September 2019

The fall season isn’t back yet, but American Horror Story returns to 1984 after the kids are put to bed, just in time to unsettle and disturb us for when we try to sleep ourselves.  Otherwise, Pennyworth works with some enemies, Preacher continues to play hide and seek, and Titans play Scooby Doo.

My kids will be thrilled that Miraculous Lady Bug returns, but my red-clad hero of choice is Spider-Man, both of which have episodes this week as well.

Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 8 September 2019

DuckTales, Big Hero 6, and now Spider-Man are going to be filling our breakroom’s television, but if you want something from the other side of the age range, Preacher and Pennyworth will have to satiate you until Titans gives us a second episode later in the week.

Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 1 September 2019

Now that the kids are gone and we can watch what we want, a slew of animated and family fare drops this week, with daily episodes of DuckTales, Big Hero 6, and Netflix’s Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.  Otherwise, I hope you like dark and gritty, because the only offerings are Preacher and the return of Titans.  Anyone else watching anything they’d like to share with the class?

Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2019 August 25

Did you think last week was slow?  This week is improved, with 300% more Young Justice, but even fewer episode descriptions.  All we know is the Wayne sisters get witchy and Preacher is having trouble keeping the Grail together.  Next week, it will pick up, assuming you like shows for kids.

Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2019 August 18

My kids go back to school this week.  Luckily, there is very little television for them to cloud their brains with so they can learn everything that the elementary school has to offer.  Pennyworth tangles with Jack the Ripper, and Preacher works to save Cassidy in unexpected ways.  Got any binge-able shows you’re catching up on?

Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2019 August 11

Did you wrap up your summer?  Ready to head back to school?  The shows are, as we have a season finally and two series finales.  Alfred says the name that makes superheroes stop fighting this week in a doubt header, Preacher is reflective in Masada.  Legion wraps up his show in the final episode of his third season.  Young Justice deals with betrayals.  The Handmaid has an episode 13 of a season my source thought was only twelve episodes long.  Krypton has Supergrandad ending his season with the climactic fight with General Zod.  Elementary lets Sherlock and Joan bow out gracefully.

Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2019 August 4

We had a few series finish up last week, but this week we get Preacher’s return to pick up the slack.  Alfred starts out singing bawdy drinking songs.  Preacher, fittingly, is offering thoughts and prayers while an apocalypse happens and his friends actually try to save people.  Legion starts the second to last episode for the season.  Supergrandfather has to deal with a renewed enemy attack as the Blood Moon rises.  Meanwhile, Sherlock and Joan go to a nice vacation resort at a waterfall.  Season three of She-Ra is still waiting for my kids and I to find time to sit down and watch it, as my wife and I are trying to find time without those kids to finish Another Life, so you might catch the Breakroom’s Television showing those, as well.
