The big-budget remake of Harryhausen’s Clash of the Titans hits the theaters next weekend. The original (reviewed by Fiz awhile back) ranks among his worst film. His effects-filled 1963 sandal epic, Jason and the Argonauts, saw more “A” list playing houses than his previous work, and Harryhausen considers it his best.
How well has it held up?

The Martin Aircraft Company’s Jetpack will be available commercially, they expect, by the end of the year. The company has been developing these things for decades, had their first paying customers a few months back, and now expect to be doing general business with an admittedly elite clientele. This week demonstrated the Kids can still be both bizarre and tasteless. I wish they had been consistently funny.

The trial grows more bizarre, Corrinda Gablechuck gets cleared of the second murder, and Dusty’s relationship with the mayor’s corpse turns sexual.
