October Review: It Follows (2015)
We’re back, with another creepy collection of cinematic terror, past and present, in print and podcast form. To start our morbid month-long countdown to Halloween, we have one of the most discussed horror films of the previous year. It Follows revisits the slasher genre, giving it a supernatural twist, meta-conventions, and beautifully eerie cinematography.

Novel Review: Aurora
Kim Stanley Robinson’s latest novel works as a story about interesting people in a difficult situation and a metaphor for a great many real-world concerns.

This two-part story brings back Capaldi’s Doctor, and brings together his two arch-enemies for the first time.
The Muppets: “Pig Girls Don’t Cry”
The Muppets have returned to television, with a new series that has garnered mixed reviews—and a boycott from One Million Moms. In this new incarnation, Kermit runs a show called Up Late With Miss Piggy, and we’re treated to the antics onscreen, offscreen (a reality-crew films behind the scenes), and whenever the show decides it’s funny.
Doctor Who Discussion: “The Magician’s Apprentice”
