New DC Comics TV Series Likely Coming: “Gotham”
The full report is on Variety. Fox is committed to producing multiple episodes of “Gotham,” focusing on James Gordon before Batman comes to town. This doesn’t guarantee it’ll be broadcast, it just means that Fox wants to judge it from multiple episodes instead of just a pilot. With this announcement breaking now, fall 2014 is the soonest I’d expect it to year, and 2015 may be more realistic.

DC, WTF?
And yes, I’m aware that a civil war rages in Syria, human trafficking has been identified as the fastest-growing criminal industry, and apparently, Miley Cyrus committed war crimes at the VMAs. But anyone who pays attention to comics knows that DC rebooted a couple of years back, restarted every title with #1, chucked Superman’s external underwear, and launched the New 52, a project which has been marked by controversial decisions. More than a few fans have taken issue with DC’s reboot. My own thoughts follow with additional links and, we hope, some discussion.

DC’s Villain Month kicks off, which means people who just buy automatically with pull lists and don’t check their orders may get rather overwhelmed by Superman and Batman titles. Seriously, if you usually buy the four main Batman books and the three main Superman books, you’re getting 17 extra issues this month.
