Apparently Brad Pitt has opted out of the psychological fantasy "The Fountain" to join up with Wolfgang Petersen and his epic.
Darn, and I was hoping that "Troy" would be watchable.

"The Illiad" Coming to the Big Screen
Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures have signed Wolfgang Petersen (Superman vs. Batman, Air Force One, Das Boot) to direct and produce the epic tale on film. It is being titled “Troy.”
No word on when filming will start or who will be in it. It goes without saying that, if this is a hit, a big screen adaptation of the sequel, “The Odyssey” won’t be far behind.

The State Of Marvel Movies
Ain’t
It Cool News obtained a list of Marvel’s planned
movie releases. Most of the list is not surprising,
but this is the first time I’ve heard that the
updated and re-edited X-Men DVD relese will
be titled X-Men 1 1/2, and the first I’ve
heard about the Nick Fury movie.
Batman vs. Superman cast?
According to this
Ain’t It Cool News article, Petersen’s Batman
vs. Superman has been cast with Colin
Farrell as Batman and Jude
Law as Superman. They’ve both got time to work
out, so I see nothing wrong with those choices.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban director chosen
Chris Columbus opted out of directing the third

this
Cinescape article, Alfonso
