Comic Television Discussion – Week beginning 4th November 2018

While The Flash and Black Lightning take a week off to read Blaine’s review of Daredevil, Supergirl introduces Manchester Black in a way that makes it clear that you should know who that is, presumable from some comics.  Arrow continues chasing last seasons big bad, while the Legends of tomorrow visit the British punk scene, where Constantine should feel at home, but is instead entirely underused.  The Titans start working as a team.  In the X side of things, we get the Stepford Cuckoos Frost Triplets backstory.  Riverdale way back into the old people’s ancient past (the 90s) to see the games they played.

Comic Television Discussion – Week beginning 28th October 2018

Halloween has happened, which was why I was delayed with this post, but it doesn’t seem to have affected the comic based television as much as you would expect, except that Sabrina was released.  Supergirl teases her cousin, Arrow keeps working without Arrow, the Legends lean into the magical side of things, The Flash explores what it means to be meta, Black Lightning’s situation continues to degrade, the Titans visit even more DC properties, while the Gifted introduce romances.  Riverdale takes the week off to Enjoy catching up on Sabrina’s new show.

Comic Television Discussion – Week beginning 21th October 2018

We are entering a golden age of comics on TV, maybe not due to quality, but definitely due to quantity.  Supergirl gets a new villain of the week, Arrow continues his Heroes in Prison story, Constantine joins the Legends (Yeah!!), The Flash threatens to kill a favorite character, Black Lightning lets his daughters do the heroing, and Titans gives us some backstory.  The Gifted took the week off (presumably because they’re behind on watching Daredevil, too,) and Riverdale trends towards more Halloween horror in order to make its sister show, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, feel welcome when it drops on the 26th.

Comic Television Discussion – Week beginning 14th October 2018

While I am still waiting for The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina joins us on the 26th, but there is a lot to watch in the build up, including the entire third season of Daredevil, and new show Titans that I missed letting you know about last week.  Supergirl and Arrow return as well, as Kara takes her turn as a mild manner reporter, and Oliver is the new black as Arrow starts out in prison.  The Flash spends some quality time with his adult daughter, and Jefferson leaves his principal job on Black Lightning.  Titans adds two more “heroes” to the four they introduced in their pilot last week.

In other universes, The X-Millenials try to get some more allies as the aforementioned Devil of Hell’s Kitchen returns to after having gone missing.  Riverdale begins setting up new storylines with their second episode instead of their first for this season.

Comic Television Discussion – Week beginning June 17th, 2018

As Supergir’s Delayed Cap to season three hits, DC leaves for their summer vacation, just in time as Cloak & Dagger might actually work together this episode.  Meanwhile, if you thought that you finally would have some free time, Luke Cage drops from Harlem (or Netflix) to take up your entire weekend on Friday!

Comic Television Discussion – Week beginning June 10th, 2018

The shows continue to dwindle as Legion pretends to be the X-Files instead of the X-Men for his finale, and Legend and the Flash’s episode titler was bored with the end of those seasons and brings the pun game to Supergirl.  Cloak & Dagger explorer alternative religions.  In the world of ink and paint, where Big Hero 6 explore an EMP, and Spider-Man returns from his hiatus.

Comic Television Discussion – Week beginning June 3rd 2018

I typically wouldn’t include animation, but if I didn’t, there would only be two shows to mention.  Supergirl decides to vacation on a chunk of her homeworld while the rest of the crew have an After-School special reminding us that guns are bad, and Legion might actually reveal some things as we near the end of the season.  Also, Legion got Season 3.

Also, feel free to be drawn into Big Hero 6’s television show.  Let us know if it’s worth a few moments to watch it (and to continue mentioning it here.)

[ETA: I somehow missed Cloak and Dagger, it’s been added to this list.]

Comic Television Discussion – Week beginning May 20th

Much less to watch this week, with even more finales.  Lucifer is gone, but next Monday we will get an extra two episodes that they filmed for season four.  Ariel Dubois turns up to give Supergirl a hard time.  The Flash races into DeVoe’s Cranium.  Supergrandpa hits the bottle, and Legion figures out what he wants to do any gets on with it.  Arrow was listed as having more episodes on the source I used, but Wikipedia believes the season is over, and the previous episode did seem pretty final.

Comic Television Discussion – Week beginning May 6th

Another week as we get to the end of our seasons, with a few penultimate and anti-penultimate episodes.  Don’t Count on these posts stopping, though, as we have shows until June.  Lucifer attempts to get back to normal after Pierce and Cloe’s events last episode, Supergirl uses Jimmy against his girlfriend, The Flash keeps its title pun game strong,  Supergrandpa has to fight the brainy voice, and Arrow’s villain goes for the friends and family plan.

I have no idea what’s happening on Legion because the descriptions are very vague.  Watching the episode only has a fifty/fifty chance of it being any clearer.  On SHIELD, we get get more time with a surprisingly accurate Graviton.  In Riverdale, (no, the other Riverdale,) things don’t stay civil as the gangs go to war.
