Marvel’s latest Netflix series went live on November 17, headlining the Marvel hero I dislike the most. There is no character that has ever had his or her own ongoing title by Marvel that I am less interested in reading about than The Punisher, and that’s including characters like US 1, the trucker who picks up CB radio signals through a metal plate in his skull. Is the series worth checking out?

The Gifted – outfoX
The Gifted name-checks more characters from the comics when it returns from where ever it hid during the Earth-X Crisis.
Review: Crisis on Earth X, Parts Three and Four
JD reviewed the first half for Bureau 42 here. The second half actually has action, tragedy, status-quo changes, everything a major event is supposed to have.
Review: Crisis on Earth X, Parts One and Two
The most ambitious (thus far) of the CSDCTVU crossovers takes place this week. ‘’ll be reviewing the first two eps here; Lex Pendragon will take over with Parts Three and Four.
The Big Day arrives for Barry and Iris. Several invitees encounter trouble getting to town. Two guests are squabbling, while two others have a too-public debate about their relationship. One guest acts like a drunken obnoxious doof. Two others drink a little too much and wake up in bed together.
In short, it begins like every wedding ever—until the point where it resembles every superhero wedding ever, and Nazis, accompanied by alt-reality versions of some familiar heroes, crash the party at the most predictable point imaginable….
DC Television Week 7 Discussion
This week, Lucifer teases the answer to “Will they/Won’t they” while acting more like a traditional sit-com/cop drama. Supergirl Wakes Up from the story that was all a dream to give us a second Supergirl. The Flash reveals their season’s big bad’s backstory. Legends continues to use well known names as show titles. Arrow airs on Thanksgiving, so uses it as the theme for the episode.1
Marvel’s Runaways – Opening Review
One of the more popular Marvel comics turns into a new series from Hulu. The first three episodes have arrived, and bring a lot of the comic to life, and a few new elements.
The Gifted – threat of eXtinction
The Gifted returns to the higher quality episodes we saw earlier in the season, while drawing even more from the source material. We are even treated to a few shots of the people I expected Andy and Lauren to be.
DC Television Week 6 Discussion
Supergirl was strong enough to time travel, bring forth a special review, and she even brought Lucifer into the discussion.1 Lucifer’s episode isn’t a typical episode, focusing on a new character for a one-shot type episode, but also decorates it with added Phlox! The Flash trains Elongated Man and gives us much deeper Wells. Legends visits Hollywood, but has nothing to do with the actress from the title. We also get to see Firestorm reversed. Arrow picks up from last week’s Slade Wilson cliffhanger.
Discussion: Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams
Has anyone been watching this high-production anthology series, which first became available in September? This is the place for comments and discussion.
The Gifted – “eXtreme measures”
The Gifted takes an episode to measure the height of the skateboard jumps, base jump dives, and just how many calories are in a turducken. Actually, none of that happened, and like many things marketed as extreme, it is relatively tame.
