Children of Men has proven so popular with crowds and critics, that more than one reviewer has been moved to defend it against claims that it is—- gasp– science-fiction. Of course it’s SF of a familiar kind, and very well-made.
MGM Greenlights Stargate Movies
Babbster writes, In a press release on Monday, MGM officially announced the continuation of the Stargate SG-1 franchise after its 10th and final season concludes later this year. Two movies are included in this announcement, the first being “Stargate: The Ark of Truth” which will complete the storyline involving the Ori.
Comic Review: Pussey!
The world of comix, however much it has shaped popular movies, television, and videogames, remains fairly insular. Pussey! depicts that world through the life of a long-suffering, often insufferable fanboy and artist.
Daniel Clowes wrote and illustrated these chapters between 1989 and 1994. Fantagraphics published the completed work a decade ago. The 2006 edition features a new, illustrated introduction that examines the relationship among the author, his character, and the world both inhabit.
