starbreeze
writes, While not a film/tv review, more of a
website review that I thought folks would be
interested in. For the hardcore sci-fi/horror/fantasy
fan, William
Shatner has created a DVD club. While it could be
a chance for someone to unload their bargain bin, they
claim Shatner has hand picked these movies for your
enjoyment. For $47.99/year you get one DVD per month,
which works out to $4/DVD. While I’ve not yet joined,
I’ve pondered it, and I thought anyone else who
frequented bureau42 might be interested. It does
look interesting. I’m running short on storage space
for my collection, but I’m considering this.

Saturday Movie Review – “1984”
And just what is a “Saturday Movie Review” you might
ask? I’ve got a lot of unreviewed movies in my
collection. I plan to review one movie every
Saturday until that has been rectified. I’ll be
skipping most of the horror films, to save them for
another Halloween event, and passing on the
superheroes for now because we’ve got a lot of that
content anyway with new releases and comic books.
Aside from that, I’m going through them all, and I’ll
be reviewing them in alphabetical order (with the
exception of next week’s holiday themed review.) My
collection is sorted with numbers first, so here we
go: 1984.

Weekly DVD Picks – December 13, 2005
The DVD list is starting to taper off some, as many
people will have already started their Christmas
shopping. I’ve pre-written these columns for the rest
of the year; do you want them posted early, to plan
your own Christmas shopping, or would you prefer I
stick to the “one a week” schedule?
