Coming to Penguicon?
That most-remarkable of Conventions, Michigan’s Penguicon approaches! Past guests have included Neil Gaiman, Vernor Vinge, Charles Stross, Randall Munroe, Elizabeth Bear, and John Scalzi. Guests this year include Karl Schroeder, Geoffrey Landis, Spider and Jeanne Robinson, Joe Brockmeier, the Ferrett, and many others.
I’m giving one workshop and sitting on four panels. It would be great to meet some Bureau readers. Anyone coming to Penguicon?

Dispatches from Kumoricon 2009 – Day 2
Alright, I’ve gotten back from Day 2 of Kumoricon (a little early, there weren’t any other panels I wanted to go to today, and I’d spent all I could afford in the dealer room). Now that I can get online, here are my thoughts on day 2. Oh, and for those who are hoping for photographs and other pictures, I’ll get those for you later.

The 56th Hugo Awards went out tonight in Montreal. Julie Czerneda once again proved herself SF’s most whimsically charming host, the good twin of Delerium from Sandman, grounded and lacking in malice. And speaking of Hugo winners….
