Nemesis CD, Wallpaper, and More
Those nice guys over at Trek Nation, have been kind enough to spill the beans regarding the contents of that nice little Nemesis CD-ROM that Paramount and Activision are handing out at E3.
I won’t be getting a convention in my area until September. Anyone feel like sharing the love my way?
Enterprise: Two Days and Two Nights
I don’t blame Phlox for going crazy, I act the same way every morning before my Dr. Pepper fix.
Trek News: Online Convention & Nemesis Preview
Online Convention
It’s bad enough Star Trek fans don’t get out in public very often, but Viacom has found a new way to compound the problem: Online Conventions. Using real-time video streaming and 3D avatars, fans from around the world will be able to attend Vir-Con 2002. For more details check out vir-con.net
Nemesis Preview at E3
Star Trek fans attending E3 this year (May 22-24) will be in for a special treat. According to StarTrek.com Paramount & Activision will be distributing free CD-ROMs with Star Trek: Nemesis material on it. No details as to what that material may include.
Just a mere mortal with no connection to the game industry? Don’t panic. Paramount will be passing out the discs at Star Trek conventions throughout the summer and autumn.
Nemesis opens in the US Theaters Friday, December 13th. That’s right kids, Friday the 13th. Get it out of your system now.
Enterprise: Desert Crossing
Star Trek II: Director’s Edition
Following in the footsteps of ST:TMP, Paramount is releasing an expanded DVD edition for “The Wrath of Khan.” Sweet lord, the “Battle of the Mutara Nebula” in Dolby 5.1? I may wet myself.
I know many a fan who considers this to be the best of the film series, so this should sell even better than the first film’s digital treatment.
Expect discs to hit store shelves on or around August 6th. I didn’t find any pre-order options as yet.
Enterprise: Fallen Hero
Enterprise: “Vox Sola”
The crew of the Enterprise gets close, really close.
The Future of Trek Films
Cinescape has a piece from Rick Berman on the future of Star Trek on the big screen. Sort of reconfirms what we heard a few weeks back from Ira Behr.
Basically if they are going to feature other characters, it will be an mix of casts and ships/locations. Not really the thing I want to hear, each cast has their own feel, and relationship with each other. This really isn’t a mix-and-match sort of thing.
Enterprise: “Detained”
Somebody got detention. Find out how and why!
