I’ll never complain about those Star Trek/WWF crossovers again… Lucasfilm has confirmed that the members of ‘N Sync will appear in “Star Wars II”. It’s reportedly a non-speaking, non-singing, non-credited role, but that just doesn’t quite get the ill taste out of my mouth.

The REAL Star Wars II Trailer
… is now available from starwars.com,
assuming you can actually get in. The site, as one might expect, is wickedly overloaded right now. Post your thoughts of the trailer for us sorry Linux users who can’t see it… :-)
Star Wars II Trailer (or not. sorry.)
bureau42.com is proud to scoop just about everyone on the net by presenting the trailer to Star Wars Episode II (which, curiously, doesn’t include the movie’s subtitle, “Attack of the Clones”). It’s in the downloadables section, in MPG format. (And here’s a direct link for the truly impatient.) Enjoy! Update, 4pm: This is, according to those who have commented, the bogus trailer. And my Web host got cranky at me eating up bandwidth like candy so he trashed the file anyway. If anyone wants to mirror it, for laugh value if nothing else, lemme know and I’ll make arrangements for you.
Star Wars: Attack of the Previews
It’s being plastered all over every other SF news site on the Web, so I might as well add to the glut… the teaser trailer for Episode 2 will be attached to “Monsters, Inc.” according to the starwars.com press release.
Review of Star Wars: Episode II
That’s right, it’s a review of episode 2, not episode 1. You can find it here. It’s on Ain’t It Cool News, so it might be a good faker pulling Harry’s leg, but Harry has explained why he posted it anyway. It’s apparantly pretty spoiler-filled, so I read as far as “This is the Star Wars you’ve been waiting for.” and then stopped. Read it if you want the spoilers, but please warn us if you post spoilers in your comments.
Star Wars II: The Title Cometh
It’s gonna be plastered all over every Web site from here to Bangladesh
by morning; who am I to buck the trend? Lucasfilm just announced
that the full title of SW2 will be “Star Wars Episode II:
Attack of the Clones.” The silly jokes may now commence.
Phantom Menace DVD Release Date Set
It’s coming October 16th, amid a flurry of other DVD releases.
Man, I already chunked over $25 for the VHS Special Edition last year. Hopefully the first three will be wandering over to DVD soon. I still don’t have the ‘Special Edition’ versions of them.
StarWars.com Updated
Many of you have probably already been there, done that, but if you haven’t:
StarWars.com just got a facelift with a whole slew of new pix and articles for Episode II.
Enjoy.
Star Wars Episode 1 DVD Release Date
Those fine folks at Ain’t It Cool News have received a tip that Star Wars: The Phantom Menace will be out on DVD on October 16, 2001, followed by episodes 4-6 in 2002, 2003, and 2004 respectively. The story also “confirms” some of the rumoured features of Episode 1.
Star Wars DVD Rumours
Could Star Wars Episode 1 be coming to DVD this fall? It may be possible, given this info uncovered by the fine people at Corona. There’s a nice list of potential features, but they don’t seem to include an isolated John Williams score, which is the feature I want to see the most. The FX-free cut sounds interesting, though… Is there anything not on that list of features you want to see?
