Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 12 May 2019

We have a few of our big name titles reaching the end of their seasons, such as Flash, Arrow, and Riverdale, with others getting to their penultimate adventure, such as Supergirl, Game of Thrones, and Doom Patrol.  I’d ask what we think we would put on in the breakroom once they wrap up, but I suspect we all have plenty of backlog to catch up on.  Which seasonal climax are you most looking forward to?

Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 5 May 2019

Busy week, sorry the schedule is going up late!  We are getting to the point where there’s almost too much to list, but with the Arrowverse on DC’s CW winding down we have Marvel stepping up with the return of S.H.E.I.L.D., and Lucifer drops all of Season 4, Netflix style!  Also, if you like Disney’s animated offerings, DuckTales and Big Hero 6 also seem to be coming out once a day.  Am I missing anything you guys are watching?

Comic Television Discussion – Week beginning May 6th

Another week as we get to the end of our seasons, with a few penultimate and anti-penultimate episodes.  Don’t Count on these posts stopping, though, as we have shows until June.  Lucifer attempts to get back to normal after Pierce and Cloe’s events last episode, Supergirl uses Jimmy against his girlfriend, The Flash keeps its title pun game strong,  Supergrandpa has to fight the brainy voice, and Arrow’s villain goes for the friends and family plan.

I have no idea what’s happening on Legion because the descriptions are very vague.  Watching the episode only has a fifty/fifty chance of it being any clearer.  On SHIELD, we get get more time with a surprisingly accurate Graviton.  In Riverdale, (no, the other Riverdale,) things don’t stay civil as the gangs go to war.

Comic Television Discussion – Week beginning April 30th

To start with, the universe expands again as DC has decided to start their own streaming service, and will be starting with Swamp Thing.  The existing shows continue unabated and show no signs of Dropping Coverage of their defined corners. Lucifer’s ladies enjoy a bachelorette party, Supergirl does Outbreak, The Flash guest stars Cisco’s girlfriend, Supergrandpa continues the dystopia of Krypton, and Oliver starts to recognize how useless a quiver of one is.

The House of Ideas gives us a heartbreaking return to corporeality on Legion and the Agents goes back to aliens.  Allegiances shift in Riverdale so the “Archie” relations become even less recognizable.

Comic Television Discussion – Week beginning April 23th

There’s a big name documentary about how conflicts continue forever because groups of people are constantly seeking to address wrongs that didn’t actually happen to them coming out in theater this week, and I have been distracted by that.  However, their Dark Cousins are still on television.  Our favorite devil takes in a ballet, our second favorite Girl of Steel takes on her boss’s dad’s mind, one of the speedsters invites a favorite guest star back to keep up the strongest pun/title game since Legends’ season finishes, Supergrandpa sings lead for a Guns ‘n Roses hit, and Arrow has to find some new teammates.

The Marvelous shows give us more trippy confusion on Legion (this time, from Syd) and the Agents face Die Hard in a Lighthouse.  The teens who borrowed their names from Archie comics have a violent manhunt and rage against the police.

Comic Television Discussion – Week beginning April 15th

On the CW, we are Dropping Content as the seasons come to a close, so I have revamped these posts to include some more comic television!  I am not going to say I got everything based on a comic, but I added the ones I watch.  If there’s another comic show you like, please comment and I’ll include it.  I’ll throw any streaming series up as they show up.

For our Debut Catalog, Lucifer thinks he is going on nocturnal missions, Supergirl returns bringing Laurie Metcalf with her.  The Flash continues fighting against intelligence, Black Lightning ends his first season with a showdown of black vs. white, Supergranad is still trapped in a terrorist cell, and Arrow has expanding businesses.

From the House of Ideas, Legion is still crazy (and that description probably won’t change) and the Agents take a trip to Rome to stop Malficent’s daughter from breaking the world.  In Riverdale, the “teens” get prepare to put on their bloody musical.
