Actor Michael Gough Dies at Age 94

After a long and very active career, Michael Gough has passed away.

This crowd probably knows him best as Alfred Pennyworth from the Tim Burton era Batman films. Don’t hold that against him, he was probably the single best part of the films, bringing dignity and a little humor to the role.

Gough would go on to star in other Burton productions, including Sleepy Hollow, Corpse Bride, and last year’s Alice in Wonderland.

In 1979 he won a Tony Award for Best Actor (Feature Role – Play) for “Bedroom Farce.” He was nominated again for the same category in 1988 for his role in “Breaking the Code.”

Batman 3 Villains Revealed

It’s finally out, who will be the big bad guys in the Christopher Nolan’s third (and probably final) Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises.

Word is out that Anne Hathaway has been cast as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman. On top of that, Tom Hardy (Shinzon from Star Trek: Nemesis) will be cast as Bane.

Video Game Review – Batman: Arkham Asylum

As 2009 comes to a close, I and my new Gamefly subscription are going to get started catching up with some of the games from 2009 and earlier. Today we ring in the New Year with Batman: Arkham Asylum, a game that has been lauded by other members of the gaming press as the best Batman game of all time.
