The formal prologue, set before the Free Comic Book Day “Blackest Night #0” issue, details the creation of the first Black Lantern. In many ways, this is not what I expected, and that’s definitely a good thing. The main event kicks off next week with “Blackest Night #1.”
The second last issue starts with the (spoiler protected) line “Word of Lilandra’s death comes to us early on what turns out to be the last day of the Kree-Shi’Ar War.” The series then pulls together the elements needed to set the stage for its final chapter.
The latest chapter leading into Blackest Night wrapped up this week. Next issue is the official prologue issue, detailing some of the Black Hand’s role in all of this.
Sorry I didn’t get this review up last week as promised. Some of the front matter took longer to assemble than I expected.
Now that all of the episodes of Season 3 are out on DVD, does Season 3 successfully wrap up the Soul Society Arc, or does it not succeed in that regard?
Another video game review for you all – this time a collection of a couple classing side scrolling shoot-em up games, R-Type 1 & 2, as re-released on Playstation Network (as an emulated version of a PS1 game – which is almost $20 cheaper than buying it off E-Bay).
Well, we’ve reviewed the movie, and as we haven’t gotten a game review in for a while (and because I managed to rent the game before I got snowed in), it’s time to give the game it’s due. Does it achieve the lofty heights of Goldeneye 64? Or, does it languish in mediocrity?
