TV Review – “Stargate SG-1: Season Three”

I’m finally getting around to reviewing that copy of
Stargate SG-1: Season Three that I picked up
dirt cheap way back
when
. Part of the reason I’m doing it now is
that we just got the results of that article from
Amazon.ca. You guys bought enough through our
referral for us to pay for a copy of Stargate
SG-1: Season Four
, which should already be en
route to Hitch, who will review it shortly. Thanks
for the support!

“Mickey’s Christmas Carol” on DVD

Just a heads up: those of us who want to own
Mickey’s Christmas Carol on DVD can get it
if we act fast. Rather than getting its own release,
for the moment anyway, it’s out on Walt Disney
Treasuries – Mickey Mouse in Living Color Part
2
. Like all of the Treasuries collections,
Disney produces only limited quantities. (175,000 in
this case; most DVDs sell in the millions.) It was
released on May 18, so it’s still available, but
it’ll sell out of regular stores quickly, and then
quadruple in price when it hits eBay. It’s still in
stock at Amazon.com.
I picked up copies of this and Walt Disney
Treasureies – The Chronological Donald Vol. 1
,
which covers 1934-1941, from Amazon.ca this week.

Complete Fall Schedule

All of the major networks have released fall
schedules so far. I began compiling them into a
single comparison document, but Ain’t
It Cool News
already did that. It looks like
we’re down to four genre programs.
Smallville is up against Lost on
Wednesdays, and Enterprise is up against
Joan Of Arcadia on Fridays. My weekly fall
reviews will be of Smallville.

Jake 2.0 – still being shown?

Anonymous Coward writes, Not sure if anyone else has noticed, but Jake 2.0 is being broadcast on Sky One in the UK, and being posted to alt.binaries.multimedia. Considering that it got canned I have no idea how many more episodes are left (though it looks like at least two more), but I’ve gotten to watch 1×13 (Blackout) and 1×14 (Get Foley) this month. I’d say the show was getting better, and they were actually moving the story forward.

Anyone else still watching it?
