Last night, I went to the movies expecting to see
a flick based on Spider-Man. Instead, I was
treated to a movie starring Spider-Man. You know
how to read more. I should warn you that there
are some mild and ambiguous spoilers below.

Classic Comebacks: Max Headroom and Transformers
For all three of you who don’t also read /.: TechTV will begin airing all fourteen episodes of “Max Headroom,” probably TV’s only cyberpunk series ever. And AP is running an article about the odd resurgence in the popularity of that 80s standby, “Transformers,” here. I don’t know if I should admit this in public, but I own the movie and still watch it occasionally…

discussion follows.

The company that produced the Web-only DVDs of
My So-Called Life has just partnered
with TV
Shows On DVD. They’re planning on using
criteria like the number of requests a show gets
for a DVD release to decide which shows they’re
going to produce DVD releases for. There’s more
info in the press release on that site, but for
now, I think we know have a very good way to
promote releases of Babylon 5,
American Gothic, and all those other
shows with a small but dedicated audience.
