Just in from Sci-Fi Wire, Sci-Fi Channel has upped the episode count ordered for Season Four of Battlestar Galactica. They are asking for 21 instead of the original 13. Also included in the deal, a special 2-hour movie that will be aired 4th quarter this year and released as a special DVD.

–the Batman
Last week I reviewed The Batman Chronicles, Volume One, a compilation of Batman’s original adventures (1939-40). Our second retro-review of Batman looks at Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli’s post-Crisis account of the hero’s first year.

The Dresden Files: Storm Front
technomancer writes, Finally, it airs.
Someone is using black magic to cause peoples’ hearts to explode
from their chests, and our friendly neighborhood wizard PI has to
investigate.
I think this suffered from being cut down to fit in the shorter one hour
time slot from a plot standpoint, and there are some potential
continuity issues depending on what follows, but hot damn Harry was a
Wizard with a capital W and the power that implies. I would personally
love it if future episodes took their queues from this one in that
department.
