We didn’t post a discussion forum because we knew one of us would have a review up this weekend. Here it is.

Weekly Comics Discussion – June 29, 2005
The fifth release week in June has an interesting shipping
list, which includes Green Lantern #2 and
Fantastic Four #528, both of which I’ll be
going home with, as well as new issues of OMAC
Project, Batman, Runaways and
X-Men: Phoenix Endsong. The Fantastic
Four movie adaptation is also out, but I can hold
off another week to see it on the big screen. (Expect
the review on Saturday, July 9.)
King Kong Teaser Up
And here it is. Supposedly only available for a limited time, so I don’t know how long the link will work.
Let me first off just say: “Daaaaaamn!” Jackson’s outdone himself. And kudos for keeping it in the 1930’s. Just gives it a bit more style.

stuff at great prices, particularly the pick of the
week.

Men of Tomorrow: Geeks, Gangsters, and the Birth of the Comic Book
One-time comic-book writer Gerard Jones has written a remarkable history of the genre which emphasizes the people and cultures that created it.
Charlie Jade: Choosing Sides
When the police apprehend 01 Boxer, both our ostensible heroes and villains want to get him out, though for different reasons.
September Comic Titles
The latest Diamond Comics Order Form is online. I’ve
been trying to
get a hold of DC’s and Image’s solicitations for the
past few months, but I
haven’t had any response from the company. Marvel and
Dark Horse have
replied and signed me up for the solicitations, so
rather than
continue to wait for DC’s e-mail, I’ll just run with
the solicitations
that get leaked to rec.arts.comics.dc.universe and go
with that.
Anyway, here’s the first monthly column about upcoming
comic products
of interest. Enjoy!
