Summer Reading: Bleeding Edge (2013)

We still have a couple of weeks for summer reading left, and here’s one from five years ago, the last time Thomas Pynchon published a novel. Pynchon, as always, defies easy description, but Bleeding Edge is enough of a techno-thriller, with elements of the fantastic, to qualify for this site.

Watchmen comes to HBO

HBO has confirmed the new Watchmen series, with some serious talent signed on, including Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Louis Gossett Jr., and others. The long-discussed show will not be a literal adaptation of the groundbreaking graphic novel, though it will be set in its world and use material from the source.

So what will the show, due to start in 2019, be about?
