User Friendly has a recent
strip that outlines three possible ways to get
the Star Trek franchise back on its feet. I
think they each have a real chance for success, so I
thought I’d point them out to our readers.

Coto mentions Enterprise finale
Anonymous Coward writes, Coto has let slip the
following information about the finale (no plot
spoilers): “It’s a very cool story…Rick Berman and
Brannon Braga are writing it and if they want to
spoil it I’d rather have them spoil it themselves!”
He had to say it, didn’t he. Mind you, it is indeed a
momentous achievement for the Disaster Duo to write a
plot that doesn’t feature time travel – unlike the
finales of both Voyager and TNG.Read the article here.

Enterprise Review: “United”
With a finite number of episodes ahead, the path to the Federation is becoming clearer.
Berman Reacts to Enterprise Cancellation
Oh yeah, this guy needs a good smacking.
Berman speaks with Sci-Fi Wire. He just doesn’t get why fans are tuning out. That statement, right there, should be Paramount’s final clue about him. He doesn’t understand the fans. He may never have, he just got lucky with smarter people around (Ron Moore and Ira Steven Behr come to mind).
Maybe his luck’s run out.
(Update 2-7-2005) Even User Friendly has a comment on the subject.

Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis rumoured to appear on Enterprise
Dark
Nexus writes, Trek Today is reporting
the rumour that Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis may
be reprising their roles as William Riker and Deanna
Troi in the season finale of Enterprise. Considering
the finale is being written by B&B, and not Manny
Coto, I wouldn’t be suprised to see them pull a stunt
like this. GrimSean also provided us with links
to this story.
Star Trek: Enterprise – “Daedalus”
Very, VERY late…
Star Trek XI Shelved?
Various online rumors abound, but Trek Today seems to have it all consolidated in one place. The rumors state that Paramount is unhappy with the direction the story is going and want it reworked. Meanwhile most fans don’t seem interested in the film at all…
I guess, if it keeps the wonder twins away from Enterprise, we can’t really complain. The show returns Friday, January 14th.
