Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2020 October 18

Star Trek: Discover was clearly too terrifying for all of the other shows to give us any more episodes, so their second episode is the only live action show this week.  Last week we saw where Burnham ended up, this week we can find out where the crew shows up.  DuckTales isn’t afraid of danger and dive into it, as does Primal, but Primal is still so scared it is dumbstruck.

Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2020 October 11

It looks like the renovations are nearly complete, and the Bureau is looking pretty spiffy, huh?  I hope you’re enjoying the new look, as, unless you are into animation, there isn’t much to look at on the Breakroom Television.  Unless you saved some of Bly Manor from last week, you’ll have to wait 930 years for Discovery to return.

Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2020 October 4

We have a few less shows to watch, but we have plenty of content themed for the big holiday, October Countdown!  First, some animated Ducks explore a local haunted house, while the bots of Big Hero 6 swap identities and cospay as each other.  The Boys raises the age recommendation for their season finale, and if you didn’t have any weekend plans, The Haunting of Bly Manor (follow up to the Haunting of Hill House) drops as well, bookending your week with some of the worst realty investments, even in this market.

Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2020 September 27

It was debatable whether to include the children’s animated shows in this post, since they aren’t discussed often enough to think any Bureaucrats are watching them, but this table gets very small when they are not included, so they are still included.  Besides Spider-Man, the tales of Ducks, and Big Hero 6, we also get the season finale of Raised by Wolves and the further adventures of the dark side of super powered individuals on The Boys.

Raised by Wolves Review: “Mass” and “Umbilical”

“I’m a doctor, I’m not a mechanic!”

Raised by Wolves serves up two of its strongest episodes this week, though they are not for all tastes. The conflict between and within factions grows as Marcus becomes increasingly unhinged, Mother makes some significant discoveries, and we’re reminded again that all the advanced tech in the universe can be foiled by a weak password.

And what rough beast, its hour come round at last, slouches towards Kepler-22B to be born?

Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2020 September 20

Do you like drawing?  We have two more animated shows, but so far, no descriptions for me to comment on.  DuckTales returns, as does the new season of Big Hero 6, and Lower Decks gives us the another voyage into the minutia of Star Trek.  Raised by Wolves gives us two new episodes, the Bureau 42 reviews are your best source for that show’s information.  The Boys can show us the aftermath of a super “throw-down” from last week.

Raised by Wolves Review: “Lost Paradise” and “Faces”

“Hey, buddy. So we shot your mom and dad, and then we spent 13 years lying to your face about it, but you know what, we sure do love you.”

The power dynamic shifts in Raised by Wolves, while the mystery of the planet deepens, and the show grows increasingly mythic.

In the face of danger and threats to the continued survival of the human race, people continue to act like buttheads. It’s depressing, but entirely plausible.

Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2020 September 13

The slow summer schedule slides on, offering us Wolves, ensigns of the Lower Decks, and the Boys, but none of which offer us any descriptions.  Got anything you recently binged on you want to share with the Bureau?
