The New York Times is reporting (no registration required) that the heirs of Jack Kirby have sent notices of Copyright Termination to Marvel, 20th Century Fox, Sony Pictures, Universal Pictures and others to regain the rights to various characters Kirby created or helped create, including The Incredible Hulk, The Fantastic Four, The X-Men, Spider-Man, Iron Man and The Avengers (or those members of the roster that Kirby drew). The Walt Disney Corporation will be puchasing Marvel Comics for about four billion dollars.
I can’t wait to see the new Danger Room ride at Disneyland or the inevitable Avengers/Junior Woodchucks team-up.
The rumors have been brewing for quite some time, and at last we have conformation – Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 will be coming to the X-Box 360 through XBLA (X-Box Live Arcade) and to the Playstation 3 through Playstation Network.
The game will have it’s full roster, plus the addition of online multiplayer. Presumably the 360 and PS3 versions will have Achivements and Trophies, respectively.
