It’s a new week, and time for new comics. The only
titles I’m expected are DC’s Silver Age Sample, a
great deal at under a buck, and Ultimate X-Men
#47. (I should get that review of Ultimate
X-Men 40-45 up soon, I suppose. I have the
notes for it roughed out, but haven’t typed them in
yet.) I may be tempted by Witches #1, as
well, unless my backlog of trades from the backlists
starts showing up. (I’ve got a Daredevil and three
Marvel Age volumes still on the way.)
Call for Votes – Pick Upcoming Review Titles
I know I still haven’t gotten to many of the titles
requested the last time around. I’ll explain it all
below.

Babylon 5 Review – “No Surrender, No Retreat” (Season Four)
The “Low Point” here was almost the three week delay
caused by exchanging a defective copy after my
retailer’s exchange deadline, but that wouldn’t be
fair to the show’s creators.

Movie Review – “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban”
This is the third film in the series, and the first not directed by Chris Columbus. Is it as good as the first two?

TV/DVD Review: Stargate Season 4
Okay…My turn to review a season of Stargate. Just a heads up – this is a review of the shows, not so much the DVDs. I haven’t watched the extras or listened to the commentary yet. Be warned – the one extra I did watch was more than a bit cheesy. Buy these if you want it for the SHOW.

Weekly Comics Discussion
This week sees a
shipping list that includes the reprint of
Daredevil Vol. 7: Hardcore, which means I
can finally get up to date on this title, both
reading and reviewing, as well as Essential
Spider-Man Vol. 6, featuring the death of Gwen
Stacy and the new Green Goblin, Exiles #48,
wrapping up Tom Bedard’s first story on the title,
Ultimate Fantastic Four #6, finishing the
first story arc and paving the way for a new creative
team next month, and Ultimate Spider-Man
#60, which kicks off the new Carnage storyline.
Comic Review – “Fantastic Four: Hereafter”
When last we left Ben Grimm, he was dead. Reed Richards didn’t care for this situation very much, and decided to correct it.

Generations Collector’s Edition Release Date Set
Wandering aimlessly around the web, I stumbled across this nugget from DVDanswers.com. The Collector’s Edition is set to be released September 7th, 2004 (a day before Trek’s 38th anniversary). No details yet on what will be included in the 2-Disc set.
No date has been set for the film Trek fans really want, First Contact. Oh well, guess we wait till 2005.
