According to Amazon.com, the release of the
second season of The Simpsons on DVD was
pushed back again, and is now scheduled for
August 6.

has been postponed indefinitely. Well, J.K
Rowling does have a new castle to decorate and
wedding thank you notes to write, so it might be

X-Files Review – “Scary Monsters”
A classic X-Files aired last night. More below.
“Fantastic Four” movie released on Stan Lee interview?
There’s a very
interesting read over on Cinescape. It seems
that Kevin Smith (of View Askew and Daredevil
fame) has interviewed Stan Lee for a video
release, which includes information about the
“Fantastic Four” movie, and possibly the movie
itself. Things aren’t quite clear on that right
now.
Spider-Man soundtrack listings revealed
The listings to the Spider-Man movie soundtrack
(due out April 30) are available from this
fan site. It’s got 19 tracks, including four
that actually appeal to me. Track one is the
theme song to the 1960s cartoon incarnation of
Spider-Man. Tracks 17 and 18 are tracks of Danny
Elfman‘s score. Track 19 sounds oddly
intruiging; Aerosmith has
done a cover of that original theme song, and it
will be included on the album.
Stephen Norrington adapting Akira for Western audiences.
YaRness writes, (from the as-seen-on-slashdot dept.)Sci Fi Wire reports: “Stephen Norrington (Blade) will write and direct an adaptation of the classic Japanese SF anime Akira for Warner Brothers, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Jon Peters [“Batman”, “Rain Man”] will produce.”So, adaptation means what, western-style cartoon (yuck), live-action (equal yuck)? I can’t see this project turning out anything palatable. Does anyone have any ideas as to how they might make this something worthwhile, either in $$s or other measure of success?

TV Guide Honoring Star Trek
If you missed it before, TV Guide, celebrating 35 years of Star Trek, will be releasing 35 different covers for the April 20th edition. You can get a sneak preview of the five captains here. The issues will also include the 35 greatest moments in Star Trek over the years. I too will be posting my own ideas for great moments in Trek so stay tuned.
Before anyone else says it, yes it is premature. Star Trek’s actual anniversary date September 8th, 1966.

According to the press release from Paramount.The first season of Enterprise officially wraps this Wednesday with a party for cast and crew. They just finished principle photography for the season finale, a cliffhanger titled “Shockwave.”
The final episodes for the season are as follows:

- “Fallen Hero” — May 8 (8:00)
- “Desert Crossing” — May 8 (9:00)
- “Two Days and Two Nights” — May 15
