Anime News Network reports that, next February, anime classic Akira will be released in Blu-Ray. This will roughly the 843rd time it’s been cleaned-up, upscaled, and released in a newer, higher-resolution format. Somehow, it just keeps getting more and more awesome, though.

Hulu, Joost start offering streaming subtitled anime.
Not long after the demise of
Toonami, Anime News Network is reporting that
several US anime distributors, notably Viz, Sony, and
Funimation, have signed agreements with streaming video service Joost, as well as Hulu.com to legally stream for free
subtitled episodes of various anime series including
such genre titles as Death Note, Naruto, Bleach, Cosmo
Warrior Zero, and the 2003 version of Astro Boy, with
more titles coming in the future for both services.

I caught Knight Rider this weekend. The quality is pretty good. I’m guessing these are teasers to get you to buy the rest of the season episode-by-episode. For the Torrent novices out there, is it worth paying for TV without commercials?

They quote the poem by Y.B. Yeats, but I’m wondering if the title also suggests they’re pretending this is really the second season, after last year’s debacle.
