This article is a review of “The Pluto Campaign,” which is the first five episodes of the computer-animated series "Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles" strung together to make something that’s almost a movie.

with J. Michael Straczynski (the Babylon 5 guy with the
hard-to-spell name) details some of his plans for the
next year, as he takes over writing duties for Marvel’s
“Amazing Spider-Man” book.

Well, in what’s most likely an attempt to cash in on 80s nostalgia, Mattel has re-released the toys. Not “updated,” mind you, but re-released darn near perfect replicas of the originals. JMS posted recently that the DVD releases of “In The Beginning” and “The Gathering” will be delayed by a month from previous schedules (I think this pushes ’em back to August). Read on for his very sound reasoning.

There’s nothing truly new here, friends. We’ve already reported that when Star Trek: The Motion Picture is finally released on DVD (sometime this year, but nobody is willing to be more specific), it’ll be prettier than before, having received a Star Wars-style makeover. Here, then, are six more screenshots showing off their new handiwork.
The inevitable teaser for “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” is online for your viewing pleasure, if you can get in — the site seems more than a little lagged. In other news, series author J.K. Rowling was awarded the Order of the British Empire by Prince Charles. Hey, if it gets kids to pick up a book instead of a Gameboy, I’m all for it.
