According to this week’s shipping
list, we’ll finally get the last issue of
Strange, the miniseries from JMS and others
which nicely updates the good Doctor’s origins, even
though they didn’t really need updated in the first
place. There will also be a dearth of Batman
items, which was easy to predict given that the next
movie will be released in two weeks. Other notables
include Exiles #65, Ororo Before The
Storm #1, Uncanny X-Men #460, and
House of M #1, which kicks off Marvel’s big
summer event for the year.

Voyages. The episode will be written by TOS
contributor D.C.
Fontana.

Weekly DVD Picks – Tuesday, May 31, 2005

new pressings of existing titles. If there’s anything
you’ve had a hard time tracking down, the next month
or so will be a good time to look again.

Weekly Comics Discussion – May 25, 2005
This week’s shipping
list is an expensive one for me, featuring
Green Lantern #1 from DC, Emma Frost Vol.
3: Bloom (which will lead to a review of the
complete 18 issue series), Essential Thor Vol.
2, Secret War from the files of Nick
Fury (a bonus issue to kill time before the next
eternally late entry hits shelves), and Ultimates
2 #6. Also shipping today is the first issue of
Fantastic Four written by J. Michael
Straczynski, but for that, I’ll wait for the TPB.
Century City Review – “To Know Her”
Another week, another rerun. This show deserved a
longer run on the air.

before they make it onto the big screen! As reported

short-lived FOX series (and basis of the upcoming
“Serenity” feature film). The network’s July schedule
lists the series as joining its Friday lineup on July
