Artisan Entertainment has sent around a promotional image of Thomas Jane as The Punisher in a Marvel comic adaptation due out next year. You can see it at Ain’t It Cool News and other places. As lackluster as it is, it’s still sadly better than what I saw on screen in the original film adaptation. I suspect that this will be the first film to really burst the comic book adaptation bubble.
The full rundown is on Cinescape. I’ll summarize it below, since it’s spoilery.

Read on, but take this review with a grain of salt. I loved the movie, but I can’t in good conscience give the movie a high rating on our scale.

The full details are on Ain’t It Cool News. August 26 will see the theatrical edition of The Two Towers on DVD, followed by the Extended Edition on November 18.
America’s least respected awards show? Ehh, it’s a judgment call. Anyway, they do have good taste in movies. “Spider-Man” and “The Two Towers” lead the pack with five nominations each. This is the awards show that features such prestigious categories as “Best Villain” (for which Spidey’s Willem Dafoe is rightfully nominated) and “Best Kiss” (which is just what it sounds like…)
The complete list of nominees, and your opportunity to stuff the ballot, is on mtv.com. Hey, at least in “Best Fight,” they’re giving Yoda his props.
Saw this back in January and held the review until we were closer to the DVD release date. Is it worth a rental or purchase? DVD comes out April 29th.
There’s no John Doe tonight, so I watched Dogma instead.

Ain’t It Cool News has the scoop on more Amazing Spider-Man casting. Dyaln Baker is Curt Connors, and Donna Murphy is Mrs. Otto Octavius. Cinescape is reporting that Daniel Gilles will play John Jameson, J.J.’s astronaut son.
And it looks soooo good. Get your own copy here.
