Final Fantasy News
RPGamer has a couple of articles on Final Fantasy titles. The first reports on a rumour that Final Fantasy X-2 will reach North America in November. The second reports that hopes for a rerelease of Final Fantasy III, currently the only FF game not released in English, may be coming out anyway, as the WonderSwan remake seems to still be happening despite the halted production of Wonderswan units.
Interesting tidbits on RPGamer.com
RPGamer has some interesting tidbits for those of us who started gaming on the NES and got hooked on the classics. This article reveals an upcoming Castlevania title from Konami. The next two articles dicuss Final Fantasy X-2, the first direct sequel to a Final Fantasy game. This article describes the game’s job and ability system, while this one describes a couple of the mini-games within.

Final Fantasy Origins – official site confirms release date
The official Final Fantasy Origins site is now online, and it confirms the April 8 release date mentioned earlier. There’s not a lot there now, but it does have a new section. The site does not mention the confirmed $30US price, though.

Final Fantasy Origins details and release date
Final Fantasy, the original game in the series, and Final Fantasy 2, the sequel without character levels that never crossed the pond, will be released in 16-bit versions with additional cutscenes in a single package in April, 2003. One of the Play Station 2’s launch titles in an RPG that allows you to play two independant but related storylines through almost simultaneously. It’s a neat gimmick, but there are other problems overshadowing that idea.
