SciFi.com has words with one of the guys behind the latest incarnation of He-Man. Talks in depth about character development of everyone, not just the blonde bruiser.
Episode II on the REALLY Big Screen
I have it straight from the horse’s mouth (StarWars.com). Episode II will be shown on IMAX theaters around the US and Canada starting November 1st. The news release has some interesting info about the transfer process, but no mention of what theaters will be getting the film.
My guess is if your town got either Fantasia 2000 or the rerelease of Beauty and the Beast, you’ve got a good shot on getting Episode II as well.
Comic Review – Essential Uncanny X-Men Vol. 1
Essential Uncanny X-Men Vol. 1 has finally been reprinted and shipped on Wednesday. Care to read about, or discuss, how the X-Men started out? Well, of course you do! That’s why Dave put those links on the bottom of every article.

Farscape Canceled!!
Daemonik writes, Well, the frellnicks over at Sci-Fi have decided that they no longer need to pay for Farscape when they have such winners as Beyond Belief, Crossing Over and highly rated movies such as Python 2 and Alligator (Plus it’s sequal!!)
Apparently season 4 will be the last. Check out here and here for information about deluging their offices with letters and faxes demanding they pull their heads from their rectums and put Farscape back on the roster. Oh, do be polite and for Chthulhu’s sake, use the spell checker, it’s your friend.
Fall premier dates
AICN has a handy-dandy list of all the fall TV premier dates right here. There’s probably a few you don’t want to miss.
Farscape RPG
Published by Alderac Entertainment Group, the game is a 320-page full color hardbound book. Using the very popular D20 system, the game is based on the hit Sci-Fi Channel series and appears to feature most all of the races, ships, and weapons shown therein.
Side Note: Any interest in more RPG news/reviews? I’ve got a small mountain of material to go from.
“Witchblade” Burned at the Stake
Batman – The Musical directed by Tim Burton
A Broadway musical adaptation of Tim Burton’s first
Batfilm will be directed by Burton himself. Details
on Sci-Fi Wire.
“Shockwave” Rerun
If you missed it, the first season finale cliffhanger will be rerun this week, September 4th at 8pm (though you’ll want to double-check your local listings).
Great episode and a killer way to round out the first season.
Season Two begins September 18th.
Nemesis Bits (New Ship/Title/Trailer)
Some little bits today, so I’ll cover them in one shot:
New Romulan Warbird
No word on its size or capacity, but this ship, the Valdore,
will appear in the upcoming movie.
It’s nice to see some evolution to Romulan ships since they’ve been stuck with
the same old warbird
since the first season of TNG. Details can be found in the official
release and at FilmForce.
Title Change
It is now “Star Trek Nemesis”. No colon in the title. No idea why.
Any guesses?
Second Trailer
That same official
release from StarTrek.com/Paramount
also mentioned that details about a second trailer would be coming soon. As
soon as I spot something concrete I’ll let everyone know. The first
one was a blast!
